We understand that the touch community is currently facing challenges that are out of our control.
Many events and tournaments have been cancelled and postponed across the world…and we are just as devastated as you.
However, this doesn’t mean that we have to stop training. It means we need to train harder than ever…to be ready when we do come back to play.
Obviously equipment and training locations will be difficult during this time. Which is why we have designed a program with minimal equipment and can be completed AT HOME.
We hope you enjoy this!
Stay strong #thefinaltouch
Touch Footballers are required to work at a high intensity for periods of 60 seconds or more, followed by relatively short rest intervals.
Athletes are often required to repeat these efforts multiple times per game. When competing in a tournament, this can add up to some serious milage.
The aim of this program is to assist Touch Football athletes who;
– need a conditioning program to follow in the lead up to a competition/event
– have limited access to gym facilities/equipment
– want to be able to run harder and faster for longer
This is part 1 of 2.

The aim of this program is to assist touch football athletes who;
– have had minimal exposure to speed and agility training
– have limited access to gym facilities/equipment
– want to increase their general speed and agility
What is covered in the program?
– Speed Work
– Agility Work
This program is designed to increase your speed and agility over a 4 week block. The aim over the block is to get you moving faster and feeling more agile in the lead up to a competition or event. The overall session length varies between 20-40 minutes [and can always be condensed into shorter blocks].
We recommend doing these sessions in conjunction with your current ball skills, fitness and/or gym work.
Ideally, this program is performed prior to fitness/gym work in order to maximise the benefits.

Footwork training helps to improve athletic ability.
The fundamental aim of this program is to help athletes become faster and more agile, whilst also improving their balance and co-ordination. There are many elements in a game of touch football which require fast footwork, which is why it is essential for touch football athletes to develop these skills.
Below are a list of examples of where quality footwork skills are beneficial during a game of touch football:
👉 pre and post touch positions
👉 evading the opposition
👉 quickie sequences
👉 and many more
