News Update January 2022

/ / Blogs

Hi everyone,

Long time no see. We hope you have all been looking after yourselves, and each other. It has been a challenging number of months for the Touch Football community. Thank you for your patience and ongoing support whilst The Final Touch has gone through a rebuilding phase. I’m incredibly excited to announce that we are back in business, doing what we love!

The past few months have been very busy behind the scenes. The Final Touch has been working with numerous clubs and individuals in their preparation for State Cup and national selection camps.

Key updates

I would like to take this opportunity to say farewell and thank you to two very special people, Ash Kearney and Joe Aggresta. Ash and Joe are moving on from The Final Touch after two 2 years of tireless work, most of which was voluntary. Thank you for dedicating your time and expertise to assist athletes on their Touch Football journey. You have had a profound impact on many athletes and have helped to make Touch Football accessible during a difficult period of time. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter.

I would also like to welcome my two new business partners, Anthony Dudeck and Samuel Brisby. The Final Touch will benefit significantly from the knowledge, professionalism and expertise of these two individuals. Anthony Dudeck is the Regional Director of Sydney Scorpions and is one of the game’s leading administrators and innovators. His skills and qualifications as a Mental Performance Coach will also be highly valuable for aspiring Touch Football athletes. Samuel Brisby will also bring a variety of new skills to The Final Touch as an experienced teacher, coach and photographer. Samuel had a very successful Touch Football career, representing both his state and country at the elite open level, and he will offer a fresh perspective to the team.

What’s coming up?

We are delighted to continue our partnership with Touch Football Australia. We are also looking forward to releasing numerous new programs, initiatives and events within the next few months. Stay tuned for the release of our “Mini Sessions” which feature a variety of short, sharp training sessions focusing on;

  • Speed and Change of Direction
  • Fitness and Ball Skills
  • Strength and Power.

In the meantime, we will be back online so please feel free to make contact and we will do our best to support you with your Touch Football journey.

See you soon.
